Scope:
This 1 day course provides classroom instruction and practical assessment in recertification of radar endorsement. It is required to be taken at least once every 5 years for all deck officers to renew the radar endorsement on their license.
A mariner who successfully completes this course will satisfy the training requirements of 46 CFR 11.480(f) for maintaining the validity of an endorsement as Radar Observer.
